Hows and whys.
WHY work with me?
If you’re creating something beautiful, soulful or purposeful, you’re going to need the right words to talk about it. You’ll want language that sets a tone and draws people into your world. Copy that does full justice to your aesthetic vision. Sentences that shine sunlight on your ideas — not a fluorescent strip.
Right now your message might feel a bit woolly, your copy a bit colourless, or you just haven’t quite worked out what you want to say. Maybe you’ve fiddled around with AI, but it only served you word-salad.
I’m a copywriter with a background in global branding, a fascination for creative process, and a deep appreciation of art, nature and heritage. I help creative people and brands express their ideas in a meaningful, distinctive way.
Don’t let underwhelming copy undermine your brilliance. Work with me to build an evocative world with words.

BRAND AND WEBSITE DESIGN
If you’re planning a new brand or website, it’s a good idea to speak to me before starting work with your designer, web developer or other visual creative, so I can help you write an effective strategy and brief that will inform the design. The best results always come from projects where words and visuals are considered together, but if you already have a beautiful visual identity and are still finding it hard to articulate, I can help.
I coordinate seamless brand and website projects from start to finish in partnership with my recommended designers and developers, or I’m happy to collaborate with your team. If you’re a brand agency, designer or developer and have a client who needs help, I’d love to hear from you.
A few of my favourite things.
Exploring 19th and 20th century literature, art, design, architecture and gardens. I’m no expert, but it gives me context for my own creativity.
Going to the theatre, especially musicals. Theatre is where the magic happens. If you think you don’t like musicals, you just haven’t met the right one yet.
Pottering in my cottage garden, welcoming weeds, staying curious, seeing what thrives and then doing more of that.
Reading, especially about the female experience, families, art, nature and identity.
Independent bookshops, singing and dancing just for fun, the scent of rosemary, kindness, afternoon naps.
In 2022 I had a liver transplant. It taught me new levels of appreciation for life, creativity and my body. I take a deeper dive into all of these subjects on my Substack publication, A Body of Art.
